We were invited to Join Shiloh Road Church of Christ in Tyler, Texas to add atmosphere to their Team Arequipa Mission Event. Thank you Kyle Smith for allowing us to serve.
It was raining Cats, Dogs and Llamas....Pouring. The weather station showed hail and high wind. Melissa and I had spent most of the morning grooming Crockett, DreamWeaver, Abiqui and Rhamnus. They looked beautiful. But things did not work as planned. If was a tough call. Mac, who was my designated helper and photographer for the event, was not real encouraging. When it did not look as if the weather was going to cooperate, I had no choice. We unhooked the trailer---in the rain---backed the Tahoe into the barn and put Crockett in the back. Off we went.
No sooner than we were 30 minutes from The Ranch, the weather was glorious. Unbelievable. We were proud to of be of service and the folks at Shiloh Rd. COC were fantastic. We could not have asked for more gracious host. We saw old friends and met new acquaintances as we posed for photographs in front of the hand painted mural of a Peruvian Marketplace.
. . . and as usual, Crockett was a wonderful traveler.
